Hey guy’s so I wanted to share with you my very first bloggers event I’ve been to this year since I started my blog back in August. When I was invited to Lincoln Christmas Marker I knew I had to go and see the festive market myself and meet the local blogger girls from East Midland Bloggers. This group is run by Emmie and Hannah if you’re in the local Midlands area then check out there Facebook page here.

So when it came to the day of meeting the girls and traveling to Lincoln I won’t lie I was a bit nervous at first because this was the first time I would ever meet the Midlands bloggers girls and it was also the first time I ever went to Lincoln as well. I went on my local train with Emmie to Lincoln and throughout our travel we meet Sherry on the same train, which was lovely because I had heard so much about her before we left and I was looking forward to getting to Sherry myself.

Lincoln Christmas market was so festive I’m glad I went to this event I wanted to go Lincoln for a go few years because I heard so much about how beautiful the place was and they were all right it is amazing!. Lincoln Cathedral area came alive and Christmas this December. With all the different stalls and entertainment they had to offer there must have been over 300 stalls from just walking around.  The market was on for four days which to me was plenty of time to have a great day out even if it visiting on the busiest day like we did. When I saw Lincoln Cathedral I was so shocked on how beautiful it was and I just wanted to have a walk around inside but I knew it was best to look around the market first.

When arriving in Lincoln the first stop was the meet the other blogger girls at a small café called Stokes at the Collection Museum, When I walked in it looked amazing all decorated with a perfect tree, All the of members of staffed were also dressed up for the festive season as well and of course they had Santa there! So I and some of girl had to have our photo taken (come on who doesn’t want their photo with Santa?). We had or out little table where we all got to know each other a lot better once everyone arrived .

Once we spent some time looking and choosing what we all wanted to eat and drink before heading up the HUGE hill I’ve been told about. I thought I would just go simple and have a classic hot chocolate and some toast (I know boring!) When my hot chocolate arrived it looked amazing topped with fresh cream, marshmallows and sprinkled with chocolate powder I didn’t want to ruin it by drinking it but I had to see if tasted amazing at it looked. The toast was amazing also with a mini bowl of fresh butter and the toast was golden brown it was the best I’ve heard by far!
After an hour or two when everyone finished their food and drinks we was given a little surprise from Hannah and Emmie we was all given a goodie bag! With a Christmas cracker and card inside as well the products we got in are goodie bags were from - Coppafeel! Type the Hype , Nadia MinkoffElegant Touch UK , Witch Skincare and Nakd Wholefood which I would like to say a huge thank you to for providing us with these amazing treats. After spending some time getting to know all the of girls it was time to head to market so we all got out walking shoes on and prepared for the hill!.

When we started walking to market it was packed even just walking to it! But the atmosphere was amazing felt so festive! With all the Christmas music playing it was hard not to sing along but I was singing along in head but Emmie and Sherry wasn’t scared of singing out loud. The first thing everyone saw was the Lincoln Cathedral which perfect! Because I never visited Lincoln before I’m glad I came and saw it all with my own eyes.
When we arrived at the market I was enjoying looking at some of stalls and what they had to offer there was so many different types from home craft, food and drink, cakes, soups and even different wines as well. While we was walking around we came across a ‘Mulled Wine and Mice Pie’ stall which Emmie and Sherry have been looking for because they were both after they warm mulled wine. This stand was looked after the ‘Merry Monks of Lincoln Minister’. I never tried mulled wine before and Emmie offered her to me for me to try and I was surprised out nice it actually was! I think all be having one on Christmas morning.

As we continued walking the stalls I was told about from Hannah one stall that had these amazing HUGE delicious treats, and she was right! They look mouth-watering as I looked around at all the different treats it was so hard to pick what I wanted but I want with my classic that I loved ever since I was little the classic sprinkled ring doughnuts. They were to die for and they were double the size of a stand doughnut you see. I was so temped to eat them while walking round but I wanted to save them for the train ride home.
I was surprised out big the market actually was I’d never seen one this big before there was so much to see and take in! How much Lincoln had to offer was overwhelming. While we was in Lincoln it wouldn’t of not been right to visit the Lincoln Cathedral it was stunning inside I never seen inside a Cathedral in my whole life and I’m so glad this was the first one I saw. Even thought it was full of people so we could have a full look around it all from what I saw it was beautiful. There was so many different bands playing around the market and they all sound amazing at one point we all started singing alone to one of the bands which made us all feel super festive.

Overall I thought Lincoln was amazing I was so happy that I went because I meet some amazing people and had a fantastic time as well, I would recommend for anybody to head down there next time it comes to take a visit. I’m sure you can ask any of the blogger girls what they thought and they will tell you the same thing. After showing my family some of the photos I took when I got home they all wanted to go and visit next year when it come back. If you have a to do list next year on places to visit them I would recommend you add Lincoln Christmas Market to you list of things to do trust me you won’t regret it!
